Open Source Software Use in Government

Open Source Software Institute project sponsored by the Dept of Homeland Security.

About

We created a tool for the Open Source Software Institute that maps where open source software is being used by state and local governments geographically and also visualizes the more abstract map of how open source is used on the Federal level.

On the Federal visualization, we've added a feature that allows users to rank what kind of software they want to prioritize in their search results.

IMPORTANT: The data used in this demo is dummy data assigned randomly for testing purposes only. It is in no way a real data on open source software use on any level of government.
