The Orb is a persistence-of-vision spherical display created by hand by with mechanical design and fabrication by Ron Sears. Two have been made so far, the second of which displays visualizations created with device-specific software. Both Orbs have been presented at various conferences and festivals such as SIGGRAPH Asia, Maker Faire, and Coachella.
